The Health Care Risk Management Institute (HCRMI) was founded by Kenneth R. Nanni, Ph.D. who is a Certified Health Care Risk Manager (CHCRM) and is an experienced healthcare practitioner and E-Learning innovator. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, and he completed his graduate work at Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Nanni has worked in a variety of healthcare settings and completed post graduate training programs at Harvard University, Cornell University, and Johns Hopkins University. He has published several articles on patient safety and teaches several university courses in Health Care Administration.
The Health Care Risk Management Institute is a professional training academy that provides an Online Certification Course to health care professionals, administrators and attorneys seeking to enter the specialty field of Health Care Risk Management, Patient Safety & Regulatory Compliance.
Professionals who have attained the (CHCRM) designation work in every delivery setting across the health care continuum including hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, outpatient clinics, physician offices, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, behavioral health, home health and other health care settings.
The Online Certification Course is comprised of four fully online flexible learning modules with learning activities including assigned readings, online videos and knowledge check assignments. After completion of the four course modules participants are required to complete a final exam and case study. Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive a Certificate of Completion and are designated as a Certified Health Care Risk Manager (CHCRM). The specialty designation must be renewed every two years.
